Collaborations

Intersecting in Unexpected Ways

Bringing together people, organizations, businesses, and community through collaborative projects.

Collaborations foster differing perspectives and intersections that may not otherwise happen. They showcase strength and challenge perceptions through shared experience. A collaborative workshop enables your organization to experience talent and embrace potential in unexpected and impactful ways.

What happens at a collaboration?

Collaborative workshops is a component of Prospect’s ArtRecruits program - an art-based program that teaches workplace skills in the art studio instead of a classroom. Participants in the 16-week program are individuals experiencing long-term unemployment or job seekers identifying with mental health barriers.

The collaboration is a highlight of the program, providing the participants the opportunity to research and collectively create an arts-based initiative that they then develop and deliver as an arts-based group activity.

Acting as facilitators, they enhance their leadership skills, build confidence and learn transferrable skills to employ in their job searches and on the job. The collaborations are over-seen by ArtRecruits’ staff.

As ‘guest’ participants in the collaborative workshop, you are provided an opportunity to learn more about diverse demographics, inclusion and mental health.

Art-based collaborations are available in both Edmonton and Calgary.

We came in as five people who were a little bit reluctant about the idea of creating something artistic and a little unsure about our personal ability in that arena. And as a team, together with ArtRecruits, made something absolutely stunning.
