ArtRecruits

ArtRecruits  is an employment preparation program for adults experiencing long term unemployment and mental health barriers/illness. ArtRecruits is an art-based, workplace skill-building program that teaches employment and life skills in the art studio instead of a classroom.

Over a two-year period, more than 86% of adults completing the ArtRecruits program found employment or enrolled in further education.

Connecting Art & Work

An initiative of Prospect’s ground-breaking Studio C, ArtRecruits helps adults with mental health barriers prepare and connect back to employment. Through this program, participants learn employment and essential skills as well as mental health management through the use of art.

Essentials skills include time management, communication, problem solving, team work, conflict resolution, stress/anxiety management, confidence/empowerment building and empowerment, adaptability, self reflection, emotional regulation, project planning and the ability to work independently. All of these skills can be developed and practiced through the discipline of art, then transferred to employment.
